The Venue

Alqueria de Rosales is perfectly suited to the contemplative work of making Islamic geometric art. Set in the remote countryside of Andalucia, in the municipality of La Puebla de Don Fadrique, at the north of the province of Granada. The site is located at the foot of the Sierra de La Sagra, with beautiful mountains and woodland as well as great biodiversity. The region also has some of the clearest night skies in Western Europe. It offers a calm haven for studying and sharing this art form.

ACCOMMODATION & SERVICES

Alqueria de Rosales has on-site accommodation for groups of varying sizes. All our shared rooms and bathrooms are single-sex and within single-sex accommodation areas. Family groups are allocated separate en suite accommodation. In the event that a course or event requires additional accommodation we may also offer rooms in nearby Puebla de Don Fadrique, together with a shuttle service to and from the venue each day.

All meals are prepared in the kitchens of the venue. All food is prepared according to the requirements of Islamic law. We serve a set buffet menu which we are happy to adapt to also cater to pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan diets, and can also accommodate some food allergies or intolerances.

The café serves a selection of reasonably priced drinks and snacks from morning to late evening every day. Free wi-fi is available in the restaurant and cafe.

Alqueria de Rosales has a private pool for use by guests. As an Islamic cultural centre, the pool has separate scheduled times for men and women. These scheduled times will take account of the schedule of the classes.

A laundry service is available for an additional cost.

MINORS

The course is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over, however, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also attending the course. In the event that the accompanying adult is not a parent or legally registered guardian, we may require formal written permission confirming permission for their attendance from a parent or guardian.

We are very happy to welcome additional family members of course attendees who wish to stay at Alqueria de Rosales without attending the sessions. However, guests are responsible for the care of any minors and we are not able to offer childcare services during the course.
